About Us

Formed in 1998, Dairy Pumping Systems (DPS) has a strong reputation for supplying high quality equipment suitable to meet the demands of the rugged environments that dairy farming and other agricultural sectors experience.

Based in Leongatha, Matt and Josh provide the service and knowledge needed to match the pumping system products supply to the customer needs.

In 2021, the ownership was changed to four of the managers from Reid & Harrison, Yardmaster in New Zealand, bringing with them decades of industry and product knowledge.

In 2024 DPS partnered with Bauer to offer there well engineered and extensive range of products into the dairy effluent and industrial markets.

DPS is looking to be part of the leading experts in the dairy effluent space in Australia as the focus shifts more to environmentally sustainable practises to preserve the great country for future generations. Leveraging off its supply partners and the New Zealand experience to achieve this.

Matt originates from the UK and has been involved with dairy industry for 34 years. For 21 of those years he has been operating, with his wife, their own 250 cow dairy farm in south Gippsland.

Now heading the sales efforts for DPS.

We are in the process of removing his loyalty to English Rugby.

Josh Gowers

Operations Manager

Proving the apple does not fall far from the tree is Josh, Peter’s son, joined the crew in 2017 and manages the Leongatha warehouse and all the inwards and outwards movements of stock.

Josh is a qualified system designer.

He is the glue between the customer and the DPS suppliers.

Keith Cooke

Administration and Marketing

Part owner and Director of DPS. Has also worked for Reid & Harrison since 2014 as Chief Executive.

Trained in accounting and management, likes to also think he has some creative flair in marketing.

Shane Omundsen

Product Management and Systems Design

Part owner of DPS, Shane works at Reid & Harrison as Yardmasters Product Manager since 2014.

A qualified Mechanical engineer and Effluent system designer, brings a highly technical and practical product experience to the team. A confirmed petrol head.

Martin Prescott

Technical Support and Sales

Part owner of DPS. Martin started with Reid & Harrison straight from school when they still used to teach the times tables in 1984. What he does not know about pumps is not worth knowing.

Runs the Reid & Harrison factory and on farm product support.

Shane Patchet

Technical Sales and Information Systems

Part owner of DPS. Shane looks after the IT systems, pricing and technical sales support for Reid & Harrison.

Invents part numbers for a hobby and is the go to for what part fits where.
